New Mexico Poised to Ban Certain PFAS in Consumer Products
If HB 212 is signed by Governor Lujan Grisham, New Mexico would become only the third state to enact a ban on intentionally added PFAS in all categories of consumer products. However, in an important departure from similar laws in Maine and Minnesota, New Mexico has exempted fluoropolymer PFAS (including compounds like PTFE) from the ban.
